One-hour Swim Clinics in the Pool: Swim Basics Clinics for Triathlon offers coaching on the basics of freestyle swimming as they relate to triathlon preparation. Focus includes breath control, body position, efficiency and endurance.

Swim Basics Clinics for Triathlon

Clinics are conducted by a professional triathlon and/or swim coach and will provide a brief overview lecture of the basics with the majority of the clinic spent in the water practicing essential techniques for better swimming.

Water Safety:

This introductory clinic is suitable for swimmers who are water-safe, comfortable swimming over their head and do not suffer from water-panic.  If you require more instruction, we recommend our personal coaching option for an optimal one-on-one experience.

BRING:

  • Bathing suit
  • Goggles
  • Swim cap (optional)
  • Water to drink pool-side
  • Shower gear to use locker rooms.

You are welcome to use the spa (jacuzzi) after your swim!

NOTE:

The entire clinic is outdoors.  Please dress appropriately for the lecture and dryland presentation.  The water itself will be warm and inviting!

Though I was inspired by watching the Hawaii Ironman growing up, I never imagined I’d be a triathlete, let alone an Ironman myself! Triathlon enriches my life so much, I want to find ways to share that well-being with others. As a life-long educator, the transition to coaching feels natural for me.  I am passionate about sharing the challenge of triathlon with women of all athletic abilities.  My favorite part of coaching is witnessing the overwhelming joy felt by a new triathlete crossing the finish line for the first time.  There is nothing like it.  Contact Martha

Description:

This is a private, membership facility.  Please enter through the clubhouse and introduce yourself as a swim participant.  Meet the coaches poolside.  You are welcome to use the locker rooms with showers before and after your swim.
